Tenuta Santom\u00e8 joins the satisfaction brought by the official proclamation of the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene to &quot;World Heritage&quot;, as decreed on 7th July 2019 by the UNESCO assembly meeting held in Baku in Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n

A territory to protect, preserve and handed down to future generations for the world cultural heritage of exceptional universal value.<\/p>\n

The UNESCO name was assigned to an area shaped by the work of man, which over the centuries has been able to draw the plot of an enchanted landscape, where history, culture, traditions, climate and land merge, giving the territory its full meaning.<\/p>\n

The area that was candidate at the World Heritage of UNESCO consists of a hilly chain that goes from Valdobbiadene town to the east village of Vittorio Veneto. Therefore, a great slice of the landscape connected to the \u201cConegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG\u201d is included inside the World Heritage panorama.<\/p>\n

The areas recognised as World Heritage by UNESCO are three:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Core zone
    \n<\/span><\/strong>The core zone<\/em> (area of interest) makes up an area of 9,197.45 ha, and includes the hilly land that falls within the Valdobbiadene municipality. This area is considered the one of main interest because it contains all the three aspects of uniqueness.<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Buffer zone
    \n<\/span><\/strong>The buffer zone<\/em> includes the hilly land that falls, in addition to all the other municipalities of the core zone, with the Conegliano, Susegana and San Vendemiano municipal areas.<\/span>Qui sono situati i nostri 3 ettari di vigneto \u201cBosco Coste\u201d.<\/span>

  3. Commitment zone
    \n<\/span><\/strong>The commitment zone<\/em> is the area outside the core and buffer zones which includes a rather vast territory made up of municipal areas that have adhered to Memorandum stipulated with the Region aimed at adopting common regulations for the management, protection and safeguarding of the rural landscape, especially what concerns viticulture.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
