The word Prosecco no longer refers to a vine, but a territory subject to precise rules located in the regions of Veneto and Friuli and more precisely in the 5 provinces of Veneto (Treviso, Venice, Vicenza, Padua and Belluno) and 4 of Friuli (Gorizia, Pordenone, Trieste and Udine).<\/p>\n

According to the regulations, Prosecco<\/strong> is made from vines from grapes of the indigenous “Glera<\/strong>” variety, at least 85%. In addition, up to a maximum of 15%, other varieties may be used: Verdiso, Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio and Pinot Nero (vinified in white).[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On 20 May 2020, an amendment to the specification was approved, allowing the birth and launch of production of the brand new PROSECCO DOC TREVISO ROS\u00c9<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The innovative ros\u00e9 version represents an important novelty for the world of Prosecco and the wine world. Prosecco Ros\u00e9, according to the regulations, requires the prevalent use of Glera grapes with a 10% – 15%<\/strong> share of Pinot Nero<\/strong> (vinified in red). In addition, the production specifications require a minimum 60 days of sparkling in autoclaves and the indication Millesimato on the label.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1533914439482{padding-left: 20px !important;}”][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1533914413745{padding-left: 15px !important;}”]PROSECCO<\/strong>: the territory[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”1115″ img_size=”full” onclick=”link_image” css=”.vc_custom_1535438713808{padding-left: 15px !important;}”][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text css=””]The denomination Prosecco Doc<\/strong> is the largest in the world<\/strong> with its 770 million bottles sold in 2024. It is therefore a great pride<\/strong> to be among the ambassadors of this great wine famous all over the world.<\/p>\n

The province of Treviso<\/strong> represents the home of Prosecco<\/strong>, both historically and by the vocation of the land: in fact, it contributes to today with over 65% of the production out of the total of the vineyards existing in the 9 provinces.<\/p>\n

For this reason the province of Treviso boasts three important “Denominations”:<\/p>\n
